Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, our client, a leading structural steel fabrication and erection company are currently recruiting a Project Manager to join the team. Our client delivers high-quality steelwork solutions for commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, DC and infrastructural projects across the country, the UK and Europe. They are headquartered in Kilkenny.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a project management role within the structural steel or construction industry.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple structural steel projects.
  • Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and erection processes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Strong understanding of construction health and safety regulations in Ireland.
  • Experience with Irish building regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel to sites as required.
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing structural steel projects from contract award through to completion. This includes liaising with internal
teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage structural steel projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepare and update project programs, schedules, and reports.
  • Coordinate the work of internal departments including design, fabrication, and erection teams.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and site personnel to resolve issues and ensure project alignment.
  • Oversee site activities including steel erection, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor project budgets, cost control, and commercial performance in conjunction with quantity surveyors.
  • Lead regular project meetings, progress reviews, and reporting to senior management.
  • Ensure quality control standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with relevant standards (EN 1090, CE Marking, etc.).
