ABOUT THE ROLE

The Project Manager – Specialist Manufacturing Facilities (internally known as Project Manager Speciality Equipment) is an integral part of the MCoE team within TAFE NSW. In this role, you will develop, integrate and operationalise a broad range of new innovative technologies and manufacturing equipment across the three MCoE campus sites. You will also collaborate closely with Education, Strategic Partnerships, and Community Engagement teams to deliver outcomes for the MCoE project.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the day-to-day operations, utilization, maintenance, and servicing of the Manufacturing Centre of Excellence technical facilities. You will ensure that all equipment is accessible and functional for TAFE delivery and staff upskilling. Additionally, you will lead the development of operational models and processes for equipment, technology integration, and facility use across all MCoE stakeholders.
The successful candidate must be willing to travel regionally as required to the other MCoE campuses at Newcastle and Wollongong.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Degree qualification in project management/related field OR equivalent significant experience.
  • Strong experience in all phases of project management from design to implementation and evaluation within a complex service delivery environment.
  • Significant record of achievement delivering complex business focused (non-technology based) projects to achieve business or operational related objectives.
  • Demonstrated high level stakeholder management skills to positively engage and collaborate on project activities.
