MECHANICAL PROJECT MANAGER - CONSTRUCTION

We are currently seeking an intermediate Project Manager to join our Operations department. Position reports to the EVP of Operations.

The ideal candidate must have superb communication abilities and sound organizational skills. Other responsibilities include:

  • To execute the project from contract signing to turn-over and acceptance by the client
  • Review all project documents (drawings, specifications, and tender documents) for all projects they are assigned.
  • Supports the field staff as required by assisting in drawing reviews, scope review and changes
  • Solicit competitive tenders from subtrades and equipment suppliers and issue purchase orders and contracts as required
  • Provide budgets for use in purchasing and job costing and track all progress on assigned projects
  • Review monthly job costing reports from accounting. Reconcile change orders, billings and holdbacks with accounts receivable.
  • Provide monthly billing reports and ensure client is invoiced correctly to contract
  • Attend all site visits when required
  • Work with the site supervisor and foreman to establish a project schedule and track to completion
  • Work with site supervisor and foreman on commissioning activities ensuring the design intent has been met
  • Maintain proper paper and electronic job files
  • Ensure timely completion of project closeout requirements including O&M Manuals and As-Build drawings
  • Preside over the client training sessions
  • Ensure all client correspondence is on time and complete
  • Collaborate with other members of the Operations team
  • Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its business partners.
  • Interface with all levels of organization both internally and externally

Position requirements:

  • Prior experience working in the construction sector. Mechanical experience is mandatory
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • A working knowledge of computers in particular Microsoft Office, Project and Procore
  • The ability and desire to grow with the company

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year

  • mechanical contracting: 2 years (preferred)
