JOB TITLE: PROJECT MANAGER

Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid – 2 to 3 days onsite per week)
Duration: 1 Year (With Possible Extensions)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the development of a comprehensive strategic plan. The selected candidate will manage all phases of this initiative, including the evaluation of the agency’s mission, vision, values, and organizational structure. This role requires expertise in strategic planning, organizational analysis, and change management.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager on multiple (3+) strategic planning projects.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in developing organizational identity, strategic plans, or similar initiatives.
  • Expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed organizational practices.
  • Project Management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or PMI-ACP.
  • Experience working with victim services or similar organizations.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR
  • Master’s degree in a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, OR
  • Ph.D. with at least 1 year of relevant experience, OR
  • Equivalent combination of education, advanced training, and 10+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create a comprehensive strategic plan.
  • Conduct a full organizational analysis, including a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) assessment.
  • Evaluate organizational structure, culture, budget constraints, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Develop goals, strategies, and performance measures to track the success of the strategic plan.
  • Create a Change Management and Communication Plan to ensure successful implementation.
  • Deliver key project milestones and progress reports, including a final comprehensive Strategic Plan document.
