We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our team in Canada. In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while upholding our commitment to safety and quality.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with structural steel, concrete, and prefabricated building systems.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • A background in civil or structural engineering is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities
  • Project oversight: manage all phases of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Client relations: serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and building strong, long-term relationships.
  • Planning and coordination: develop comprehensive project schedules and coordinate effectively with internal teams (engineering, fabrication) and external stakeholders (contractors, site teams).
  • Budget management: monitor project budgets, control costs, and proactively identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Team leadership: lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals, providing clear direction and support across various functions.
  • Erection and quality control: collaborate with site teams to plan erection methods, and ensure all on-site work adheres to Canam’s high safety and quality standards.
  • Problem solving: proactively identify and resolve project challenges, developing contingency plans to ensure project continuity.
  • Documentation and reporting: maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports and change orders, and report project status to senior management.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: work closely with estimation and sales teams during the pre-construction phase and support them with technical insights.
