Job Description We are looking for a full-time and permanent Project Manager for our Structural division in Geelong. Successful candidates will be working alongside our team of skilled administrative and production staff to deliver world-class products for well-known clientele. You will be reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, and General Manager and proactively engaging with Production Managers and Planners to ensure the needs of the organisation and clients are met. Key Responsibilities Be the single point of contact with the client concerning all project aspects and deliverables that support the business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders Provide skilled direction to the procurement and project team members to ensure all materials and buys-in, logistics, planning, and allocating resources meet the assigned targets Chairing meetings, finalising minutes, manage and close out all RFI’s, NCR’s, VO’s, and general correspondence Forecast potential EOT’s and VO’s, expediting the program to avoid an EOT where possible Monitor and provide ongoing tracking of time, quality, and budget for all individual projects Providing timely invoice data to the finance team to maintain positive cash flow. Provide project closeout report detailing our learning through each project Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) A firm understanding and proven track record of executing commercial and technical requirements in structural and/or pressure equipment projects Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously Experience with procuring critical long-lead materials through international channels A firm understanding of manufacturing techniques and production planning Previous experience in structural steel manufacturing is highly regarded Additional Information We welcome applications from candidates with proven project management experience in fabrication, heavy industry, or vessel production.
