Fulton Hogan’s Civil Structures team build some of the most interesting Civil projects in the beautiful Hawkes Bay region. We specialise in large structural projects such including Bridges, Pump stations and Treatment plants. No project is too big or to challenging! We pride ourselves on delivering complex structural civil projects with progressive thinking, collaborative teamwork and have fun doing it. This project will be technically challenging as it based in a remote area and the bridge is bespoke, so there is a lot of opportunity for the right person. In addition to the above you will be responsible for: Planning the execution of the works and developing construction methodology for all elements of the works Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies Developing construction plans and documentation Ensuring effective collaboration between internal teams and subcontractors Providing a monthly forecast of cost to complete to the Commercial Manager, and an estimate of the work completed in terms of percentages complete to the planner Maximising efficiency in resource, equipment, and workforce utilisation Reporting progress and performance to the engineering manager Maintaining and drive a safe and tidy site, assisting in the development of management systems and ensuring compliance within your team Undertaking regular inspections to ensure that safety, environmental, and quality standards are achieved across the project Good Work equals Good Benefits Company Vehicle KiwiSaver employer contributions Parental leave top-up payment with additional return to work support Family scholarships Ongoing training and development, career growth and progression opportunities Great discounts at a wide range of retailers and fuel discount card Medical and Life insurance At Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and grow with us. We’re looking for someone with: Hold a BE, NZCE or a Diploma in Civil Engineering ideally Level 7/8 NZQF Hold a minimum of 10 years + post graduate experience, offering a depth of expertise in a range of civil construction project delivery Proven experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships Concise communication across the different project teams, providing an in-depth handover to the project team each morning Able to demonstrate commercial ability, including cost control and programming, you work within budget, and you have proven success with positive commercial outcomes Creating, Connecting and caring for the community Our people regularly donate their time to local causes and initiatives, while at a regional and national level we provide financial support, skills and resources to a wide range of organisations that are strengthening our communities.
