JOB SUMMARY:

Working within Global Supply Chain, the Project Manager will be responsible for the management, planning, implementation, and tracking of multi-site / multi-function projects collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders at all levels, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Manager will demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing projects, strong leadership skills, and excellent organizational abilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering, procurement, medical device and regulatory requirements, including their interfaces and interdependencies.
  • Must be able to work without direct supervision to accomplish goals and meet schedules.
  • Proven solid work ethic and ability to work well with others as well as independently.
  • Possess strong business acumen, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be open-minded and adaptive to change, promote the collective interests of the team more than self-interest, able to resolve problems in a respectful manner.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager, preferably in the medical device business or other highly regulated industry.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in project management.

Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Provide project leadership throughout the duration of the project lifecycle, supporting, and influencing the project team, stakeholders and steering committees as required.
  • Identify key stakeholders, understand their expectations, and maintain appropriate tools to execute effective communication plans throughout the life of the project.
  • Maintain clear forms of project communication that can be used throughout various levels of the organization, ranging from individual project contributors to senior leadership.
  • Exhibit strong project leadership skills including, but not limited to, critical path definition, optimization, monitoring, and management to ensure the most efficient implementation metrics are obtained.
  • Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for supply continuity and supply base optimization.
  • Partners with Finance Specialists to provide budget estimates, forecasts, and insights in regular meetings with key Stakeholders.
  • Seek and analyze information from all cross-functional sources to understand the project scope and what activities need to be accomplished (including who, how, duration and effort).
  • Lead and support project teams comprised of a broad range of diverse, cross-functional members, including numerous outside Suppliers and spanning multiple geographic locations.
  • Contribute to a high-performing, highly motivated, collaborative team environment of trust, empowerment, accountability and recognition.
  • Manage projects that can range in scope from low to high complexity.
  • Maintain a sense of urgency, facilitate problem solving sessions and meetings to address obstacles, and hold team members accountable to program commitments.
  • Own, manage, and track all project deliverables and interdependencies ensuring task completion by all cross-functional team members.
