Job Overview: The Project Manager requires a blend of strategic thinking, strong judgment, and hands-on project management to deliver high-quality software implementation projects for sophisticated law firm clients. This individual has experience managing complex projects, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and client expectations are met. The Project Manager thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and often ambiguous environment. This person must consistently demonstrate initiative, strong attention to detail, pride in ownership, and dedication to successful client outcomes. Responsibilities and Duties: Project Planning & Scope Management: Develop detailed project plans, set milestones and deadlines, and ensure alignment between the client and SurePoint internal teams and stakeholders throughout the duration of a 4-6 month project lifecycle. Governance and Oversight: Establish scalable project methodologies and standards specific to service delivery to ensure projects meet client expectations, timelines, and budgetary constraints. Track and report on budget utilization, addressing any variances promptly with the internal project team and the client. Resource Management: Oversee resource allocation, capacity planning, and prioritization across service projects to optimize efficiency and utilization. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a primary liaison for senior management and key stakeholders within the Delivery Department, providing proactive and transparent communication on project status, risks, and resolutions. Performance Monitoring: Utilize systems and dashboards for monitoring service project performance metrics, and KPIs to track progress and ensure accountability to clients and internal stakeholders. Risk Management: Lead risk assessment and mitigation efforts across service projects, ensuring proactive identification and resolution of issues to maintain service quality and client satisfaction. Exercise exceptional judgment in identifying project risk and client sentiment issues, acting early and escalating appropriately to bring projects back into alignment. Change Management: Drive change management initiatives related to legal technology project implementations, ensuring smooth transitions and effective adoption of new processes or technologies by internal teams and clients. Continuous Improvement & Initiative: Take ownership of projects, seeking out ways to improve client outcomes and project delivery. In addition, collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation. Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, leading weekly status meetings, coordinating internal teams in a complex environment, and managing expectations effectively. Handle client escalations with a calm and solution-oriented approach, coordinating internal resources as needed to resolve issues. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or 5+ years of relevant experience. Experience working in a Software or SaaS environment is preferred. Experience in legal technology or working with law firms is highly desirable. Understanding of project management best practices specific to service industries (e.g., IT services, consulting, professional services). Proficiency in risk assessment, budget management, and resource allocation. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization and with external clients. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive results in service project environments.
