THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Project Manager to manage and maintain in conjunction with the client the operational performance of the excavator and truck fleet based at the Tarrawonga mine in the North West of NSW.

Responsibilities

REPORTING TO THE AFTER SALES AND MAJOR PROJECTS MANAGER, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Planning, coordinating and safely executing related maintenance and warranty tasks in line with project schedules and budgets.
  • Managing Sub Contract suppliers including putting processes in place to ensure their compliance to safety, budget and specification requirements.
  • Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure objectives are achieved and in line with Hitachi specification
  • Managing all direct and indirect Gunnedah tradesman and any related project administration requirements in line with HCA standards and processes.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Relevant trade qualifications and proven Supervisory/Project Management experience.
  • Proven experience managing similar projects involving mobile equipment in the mining industry.
  • High level interpersonal, time management, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to autonomously manage multiple priorities to strict deadlines.
  • A proven track record with regard to safety and quality assurance
