OPPORTUNITY:

The Project Manager will manage and oversee projects from inception to completion, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals while managing the overall success of construction projects of varying sizes and complexity.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as engineering, construction management, or another related program is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial, industrial, and/or institutional construction is required.
  • Proven experience managing a large-scale project portfolio with projects valued at $30 million or more.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of construction ranging from lean, quality, earned value, technology, equipment, materials, negotiation, estimating, scheduling, safety, design, and management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Timberline, BIM and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven history and ability to demonstrate a clear record of success on previous projects.
  • Strong leadership, management, and practical decision-making skills.
  • Combination of decision-making and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects with a high degree of technical accuracy and the ability to multitask.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the success and profitability throughout the project’s lifetime while retaining the owner as a client for life.
  • Maintain the companies brand with all clients, employees, trade partners and supply chain partners.
  • Proactively identify, address, and resolve issues/problems as or before they occur.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets.
  • Track project progress, variances and recovery.
  • Identify, review, submit, and implement all RFI’s in conjunction with the project team.
  • Mitigate potential risks and provide accurate forecasts.
  • Manage site delivery staff to ensure that scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and planning targets are fulfilled.
  • Monitor sub-trade quality of work and direct corrective actions where required.
  • Organize and oversee all inspections and testing.
  • Demonstrate leadership in the companies policies and procedures, including the safety culture.
  • Promote education and awareness of these policies and procedures to the work team.
