About the Role
Axiom Builders is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a tenant improvement project at the iconic Bentall Tower in downtown Vancouver. This project involves extensive interior renovations and upgrades to the outside area’s, offering an exciting opportunity to work on one of the city’s most prominent commercial properties. Located in the heart of Vancouver’s business district, the Bentall Tower is a key landmark, and this is your chance to make a significant impact on its transformation.
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall direction of the project, ensuring that it is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. You will manage all aspects of project performance, including costs, schedule, quality assurance, and status updates. This role also involves subcontract negotiations, liaising with owners, consultants, and sub-trades, and overseeing the technical and financial management of the contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects and ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget;
- Develop and manage project scope, schedule, costs, and objectives, involve all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility;
- Act as front-line contact with consultants, engineers, trades, site staff, and the owners;
- Promote and project the company image of efficiency, quality, technical competence and fair management of trades and suppliers;
- Work closely with site field staff to ensure they have the proper resources to successfully execute the project;
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, resolving issues, managing client expectation, and ensuring client satisfaction.

As a Project Manager, your extensive knowledge and experience working on residential concrete projects as part of the general contractor will be a huge asset to our clients and your team members. You are polished, organized, teachable and have a strong business acumen - excited to learn new things. You are an excellent communicator and you conduct yourself professionally at all times - in fact, you’re able to speak up and advise all levels of an organization. Most importantly, you are interested and committed to growing your career with us long term.
Skills and Experience
- At least three plus (3+) years of experience as a Project Manager, working with a general contractor;
- Certificate, diploma or degree in Building Technology, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or a related field;
- Proficient with project management tools, such as Microsoft Project and/or Procore;
- Strong relationship and network of sub-trades in the Lower Mainland;
- Strong communication - confidence and ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels;
- Experience with virtual construction and 3D modelling programs will be considered an asset.
