SUMMARY

This position provides overall market management related to all construction services. The individual is responsible for managing all aspects of projects along with client and vendor relationships.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of construction and project management experience specific to carrier macro work required
  • 7+ years of field specific experience related to carrier installations preferred
  • 3+ years experience managing large carrier build out programs required
  • Experience managing multiple discipline projects within telecommunications is preferred
  • Experience with Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, and other carrier projects preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to manage market build outs of 100+ projects per quarter
  • In depth knowledge of RF equipment including radios, antennas, and related equipment for all carriers
  • In depth understanding of RF and Fiber testing related to site builds
  • Ability to manage a team of project and construction managers to drive overall project success
  • Ability to schedule and manage all aspects of projects (materials, in house resources, etc.)
  • Needs to be well organized and understand prioritization of daily activities based on client requests
  • Proficiency in driving processes to keep committed timelines through various stages of project(s)
  • Must have strong financial background to understand financial impact of decisions made through project
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and GSuite
  • Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience communicating directly with and providing services to clients
  • Ability to give direction and training to Engineering/Construction peers and teammates
  • Ability to multi-task and work on distinct functions of overall project simultaneously
  • Ability to compile closeout documentation and reports

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

As project scale increases the senior project manager would need the ability to both identify potential candidates and manage team consisting of project manager(s), construction manager(s), project coordinator(s), and field resources.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage overall work flow through the office, overseeing all projects and resources
  • Handle weekly meetings with both field and office teams to understand scheduling, resource allocation, and timelines
  • Manage all client interaction with assistance of team (project manager, construction manager, etc.)
  • Negotiate pricing and manage sub-contractors as it pertains to macro carrier equipment and civil construction
  • Work to identify new resources as required by the project for suppliers and subcontract labor
  • Issue or oversee issuance of vendor purchase orders to both suppliers and sub-contractors as needed for project.
  • Compile and submit matrix pricing bids with assistance of project coordinator as needed by client
  • Procure materials as needed for projects including purchasing and delivery
  • Responsible for overseeing Construction Manager for scheduling construction activities through either in house or subcontract labor resources and report schedule to client
  • Responsible for updating client trackers daily/weekly for various stages of completion based on construction schedule
  • Attend weekly conference calls with client to provide progress updates
  • Identify critical issues that may impact/delay overall project timeline and work with supervisor to present solutions to client
  • Manage project coordinator(s) to oversee administrative duties (permit submittals, purchase order requests, etc.)
  • Collaborate with SAC and A&E teams on front end to determine best construction solutions for client
  • Responsible for budgeting and monthly revenue with assistance of Division Manager and/or Director
  • Work with local utility provider and/or city authorities to ensure the company is meeting all requirements and performing in market
  • Establish and maintain good relations with clients, partners, and local authorities aimed at safeguarding and promoting client interests
  • Oversee the planning and execution of bulk project consisting of 100+ projects per quarter
  • Provide support to all team members by assisting in prioritizing and managing workloads
