Description
This job description is for a Project Manager responsible for the complete delivery of one or more cross-functional transformation projects, from initial concept to final closure and approval of deliverables. Under the title of Project Manager, the description places central importance on the simultaneous coordination of internal and external communications, marketing, change management, training, and an integrated dissemination calendar: the communication and change management dimension is not secondary; it structures the role. The ideal candidate will lead teams that do not report directly to them, influence directors and senior managers, and reconcile divergent interests within a large, matrix organizational environment. Experience in the financial or banking sector and the ability to present effectively to executives and governance committees are prerequisites, not assets. The role requires more than 6 years of project management experience and a proven track record of major transformation programs. A strictly IT project manager, focused on technical delivery without communication or change management responsibilities, does not meet the requirements. Main Responsibilities: Be responsible for developing the single project plan, taking into account the issues, complexity, stakeholders, and alignment with other projects, while ensuring consistency with the sponsor's business objectives. In collaboration with the various contributors, be responsible for deliverables that meet business objectives and create value, while respecting agreed-upon terms, costs, and deadlines. Provide functional supervision and coordination of internal and external contributors (integrators or others) involved in project delivery. Authorize any requests for changes to resources and ensure quality control of the work and adherence to the governance and methodology to be applied within the project framework. Develop risk analyses, impact assessments, and related strategies, taking into account various factors to manage the project's risk level. Be responsible for providing a single accountability report and project progress status updates to the sponsor, the steering committee, and Other decision-making bodies Requirements REQUIREMENTS QUALIFICATION TABLE REQUIREMENTS More than 6 years of project management experience | Required cumulative experience | All requirements met Major transformation programs, demonstrated experience | Must be completed | All requirements met Leadership of communication and change management projects | Must be completed | All requirements met Financial or banking sector | One experience is sufficient | All requirements met Large organizational matrix environment | Must be completed | All requirements met Presentations to executives and governance committees | Must be completed | All requirements met DESIRED Simultaneous coordination of multiple teams (internal and external communications, marketing, training, change management) | List of examples | Sufficient majority met Management of dependencies between initiatives and consistency of messaging across channels | Must be completed | All requirements met ASSET Coordination of marketing projects | List of examples | Sufficient majority met Note: "Financial or banking" is considered an alternative; only one of the two experiences is required. WHAT WE DON'T WANT ▸ Project manager focused solely on IT delivery, with no experience in communication or change management. ▸ Less than 6 years of project management experience. ▸ PMO or project analyst profile without full project management experience through to project closure. ▸ Candidate without experience in the financial or banking sector. ▸ Candidate without experience presenting to executives or governance committees. ▸ Profile accustomed only to teams with direct hierarchical reporting lines, with no matrix management experience.
Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional transformation projects from concept to closure, focusing heavily on integrated communications and change management. Coordinate internal and external teams within a matrix environment to deliver business value while managing risks and reporting to executive governance committees.
