The Project Manager is responsible for successful execution/delivery of assigned projects on time, within budget, as per contract agreement, with on quality & safety framework of Hitachi Energy, and provide cost effective execution of Project deliverables in accordance with contract technical specification, quality standards, schedule and safety requirements. How you’ll make an impact: You will lead project execution in line with contract scope, schedule, and conditions, ensuring proactive planning, monitoring, and control of scope, time, and cost. You will develop and manage project schedules and documentation, coordinating with internal teams and customers to resolve issues and ensure timely approvals. You will act as the primary contact for customers, ensuring contractual commitments are met and fostering trust and satisfaction through consistent communication. You will be evaluating and identifying the risks in project proactively and implementing the mitigating actions and coordinating with Factory and customer for Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and arranging the timely dispatch clearances, coordinating with commercial team for Invoicing and with logistic team for dispatch of goods, service team for installation, testing and commissioning at site, customer for timely collection of payment and for As-built drawings, collection of PAC and Project Closure. You will report status or progress to internal stakeholders or management with appropriate details. You will be coordinating with PMs in monitoring daily productivity, comparing with planned, taking corrective actions for loss of productivity, monitoring the respective project cost (cost to complete) with allotted budget, reporting higher management / commercial / estimation department cost trends in a timely manner, accountable for revenue and invoicing planning of projects. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Your background: You hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. More than 5-7 years of experience of project management in transformer industry or similar in high voltage (HV) equipment. Experience in the power transformer Industry will be an added advantage; electrical related experience is a must. Experience in coordinating multiple key stakeholders/teams in global locations. PMP Certified or equivalent certification completed is a must. Strong and demonstrated experience in management of scope, cost, schedules and vendor/subcontractors. Solid experience in managing orders, ideally managing complex orders and different contractual types and proficient in computer skills including SAP (highly preferable), MS project, Outlook, Visio. Demonstrated commercial understanding. Proactive and highly organized and excellent written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail.
