Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS
- Hold a relevant third level qualification preferably in Engineering or related Project management discipline.
- A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in managing large or multiple infrastructure/capital projects in either water, rail, energy or aviation sectors
- Strong knowledge and experience of project management, contract management (i.e. through use of major contract forms e.g. NEC3, FIDIC or similar), strategic planning, methodologies and construction delivery best practice.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to successfully implement and execute programmes and driving performance.
- Experience is in a complex stakeholder environment.
- Right to work in Ireland.
Additional Information
Responsibilities:
- Change management processes for the market management system and Capacity Market. Commission Applications for Change Requests and manage interfaces with other teams to ensure impact assessment are completed. Manage the scope of the Biannual releases, prioritise releases from within COO (engagement meetings, workshops etc).
- Risk Management: needing monthly risk updates for department and to coordinate with stakeholders in parallel management teams. Organise and facilitate quarterly risk reviews with management team and COO.
- Business Planning: Responsible for COO input to the company Annual Business Planning.
- Periodic reporting:
- Market KPIs
- Known Issues Reporting (MMS)
- Chief Executive Reporting, Business Plan Milestones, Business Plan KPI’s
- Manage dependencies COO has on the IT delivery organisation.
- Strategic Planning
- Understanding the pipeline of upcoming project work for 5+ years. Delving into a range of projects, but most pertinent to business innovation department, future planning department and energy technology.
- Beyond the known projects there is a watching brief on upcoming changes, European grid-code amendments etc.
- Supporting Plan on a Page for upcoming major projects and COO related milestones.
- Basic resource planning exercise, splitting department into BAU and Project resource requirements estimate over the next 5 years.
- Project Management of emergent work.
- This is likely in the short term to be the NI/IRL code divergence project. Independent governance arrangements for each side of the border
