Are you an innovative and results-oriented person who wants to move our customers’ performance forward? We are looking for a Project Manager for Technology Development projects. This role is in global R&D team in Technology function of Flow Control. Valmet’s Flow Control Business Line is one of the leading providers of mission-critical flow control solutions and services for process industries. Your primary responsibility is to manage various technology development initiatives and projects. Typically, the projects are high-risk projects aiming at radical performance improvement of our products. You will develop future capabilities for our products to ensure their competitiveness also in the future. This position is located in Vantaa, Finland. This role includes the following responsibilities Managing technology development and innovation projects in the field of flow control products Participating in identifying future customer trends Deriving topics for development on basis of the customer trends Identifying and experimenting with new technologies providing value for our customers Identifying and experimenting with new ideas for product improvement To be successful in this role you need to have Bachelor´s or Master’s degree, background in engineering preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of experience within R&D or COE (Customer Order Engineering) roles Knowledge of mechanical engineering, strength of materials, manufacturing methods and product testing is a must Strong knowledge of flow control products is considered a strength Experience in project management Capability to collaborate with our customers, colleagues, and supply chain Knowledge of product modeling tools (SolidWorks), simulation tools (ANSYS), and Lean Six Sigma Demonstrated success in a matrix, multi-cultural, international environment with managerial responsibilities considered a strength Willingness and ability to travel on an international basis Excellent written and oral communication skills in English Ability to work both independently and as a team member We offer We offer you an exciting opportunity in a global company.
