Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As Project Manager for the Architectural Hardware Group, you’ll lead the full lifecycle of awarded contracts — from initial planning through to final delivery. You’ll oversee complex hardware installation projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and on-time delivery within budget.
In this pivotal role, you’ll apply your deep knowledge of architectural hardware to drive project success. Acting as the primary point of contact, you’ll collaborate closely with architects, contractors, engineers, and installers to coordinate efforts, resolve challenges, and deliver exceptional results. This is your opportunity to take ownership of meaningful projects and make a lasting impact in a highly respected, fast-paced commercial environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Project Leadership: Manage projects from start to finish, from preparing competitive bids and winning contracts to overseeing every detail until completion.
  • Technical Expertise: Use your knowledge of commercial construction, architectural hardware, steel doors, and frames to respond to customer inquiries and prepare detailed project estimates.
  • Budget Management: Evaluate project costs, including materials, labor, and geographic factors, to ensure accurate and competitive pricing. You’ll also work with subcontractors and suppliers to resolve pricing issues and maintain project budgets.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets. You’ll also identify potential risks and create strategies to mitigate them.
  • Blueprint Analysis: Read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications for architectural hardware projects, ensuring full compliance with all building codes and safety standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a central point of contact for team members, clients, and site superintendents. You’ll coordinate, expedite, and distribute critical project information and updates, with a strong focus on scheduling and ensuring a smooth workflow.
