Headquartered in Boston, Mass., Veolia North America has more than 10,000 employees working at more than 350 locations across the continent. www.veolianorthamerica.com Job Description Position Purpose: Project Manager for water facility construction and maintenance projects including, new and replacement watermain, pump stations, treatment plants, storage facilities, and etc. Work with engineering staff, consultants, developers, contractors, field personnel, and regulators to collect data required to develop and construct projects. Manage construction contracts to assure compliance with contract requirements and scope of work. Manage project change orders and pay applications. Work with municipalities, PA DEP, PA PUC, and Penn DOT to acquire permits required for projects. Manage and direct third party inspectors. Responsible for capital expenditure budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, and preparing Funding Projects using engineering financial management programs. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Manage construction projects using the latest industry standard project management processes and procedures. Decipher construction drawings for the installation of new and replacement water facilities. Prepare and manage project funding using Company financial programs. Direct the collection of field data for proposed projects using Consultants and Company assistance. Prepare response to outside agency requests for watermain locations including PennDOT, municipal agencies and other utilities. Assist the Construction Coordinator in the management of third party Inspectors. Prepare permit applications for street cuts, stream crossings, and railroad crossings, etc. Resolves conflicts between design and field conditions in a timely manner consistent with good engineering practices, Company specifications, and regulations. Prepare, monitor, and adjust project forecast and budgets using Company financial and planning tools. Qualifications Education/Experience/Background: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering/Project Management/Project Coordinator preferred but not required 2-5 years of experience with water facilities project management and installation including familiarity with other utility installations and regulators requirements preferred Minimum 8 years of experience managing construction contracts and specifications. Experience with Engineering/drafting skills related to water facility design. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Familiar with OSHA regulations. Required Certification/Licenses/Training: Certified Project Management Professional a plus.
