Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) and Quality is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within VPS & Quality, you’ll find CIM & Serious Incidents. We have more than 100 employees, primarily engineers and project managers. We are located in Denmark, Great Britain, India and Portugal. We resolve CIM cases in a prioritized and structured manner by developing upgrade solutions that improve the performance and safety of installed wind turbines. We supply technical communication to be used by Vestas when communicating with our customers. We handle serious incidents such as nacelle fires and tower and blade incidents together with our colleagues in the Regions. It is our responsibility to investigate and conclude on root causes. We are responsible for evaluating and issuing Safety Alerts related to the operation of our wind turbines.
QUALIFICATIONS
The most important thing is that you understand project management, which is of a complex technical nature.
Other important qualifications for this job are:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience from the wind industry or similar
- Hold a project management certification such as Prince 2, PMI or equivalent
- High level of experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Familiarity with Engineering Change Management and Continuous Improvement Management
Responsibilities:
- Taking ownership of and organizing, planning and coordinating technical projects with a high level of complexity
- Interfacing and communicating with a large range of stakeholders in the entire value chain
- Establishing and maintaining close working relationships with the VWS Business Units and within VPS
- Initiating and driving corrective actions for changes in turbine design aimed at addressing faults and improving turbine performance
- Managing technical projects of different level of complexity in the Hub and Nacelle area
- Managing your stakeholders efficiently by building and maintaining relations
- You will work closely with Sales Business Units, Production Business Units, Construction, Transportation, Service organizations and all VPS departments to carry out all tasks above
