PROJECT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION
The PM is a supervisory position that is responsible for both supervisory tasks in the office as well as in-field leadership for projects and crews. The PM must possess considerable knowledge of methods, materials, and techniques used in telecommunications construction, along with an ability to communicate effectively, maintain working relations with supervisors and subordinates, and resolve problems with appropriate and timely decisions.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
-Five years experience in project management
-Working experience with major telecommunication companies conducting wireless installations.
-Advanced computer and reporting skills.
-Excellent communication and team management skills; good at listening, motivating and giving feedback with the ability to create positive group dynamics.
-Excellent organizational, time management skills and problem-solving skills.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Calgary, AB T2K 0S
Bid walks participation: Participate in bid walks and site surveys to gather information about project SOW, site access, physical characteristics of the site, material and labour requirements. Engaging necessary subcontractors into the walk.
Proposal preparation: Prepare project proposals and quotations, including technical specifications, cost estimates, and project schedules, to meet customer requirements and industry standards.
Project planning: Develop project plans and schedules, identify project milestones, and define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Resource allocation: Communicate to and work in close collaboration with the Field Manager to allocate resources such as personnel, equipment, and materials to meet project requirements and budget constraints.
Project monitoring and control: Monitor project progress of inhouse teams and third parties, track project milestones, and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure project completion within budget, schedule, and quality objectives.
Budget management: Manage project budgets, including tracking project expenses and managing project costs within budgetary constraints.
Change management: Monitor, capture and communicate with the clients and internal stakeholders all the changes related to SOW. Track additional costs associated with each change, communicate with the clients, and facilitate respective change orders.
Risk management: Identify project risks, assess their impact on project objectives, and develop mitigation strategies to reduce project risk.
Communication: Establish and maintain effective and timely communication channels with project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management.
Team management: Provide leadership to project teams, provide feedback, and evaluate performance based on established metrics.
Reporting and analysis: Generate project reports, analyze project performance data, and provide recommendations to improve project performance and customer satisfaction.
