Description

Are you ready to lead a project that will shape the future of how we work at Hempel?
We’re launching a major transformation in how we manage our workforce across Hempel, starting with the implementation of a new Workforce Management (WFM) system – HumanForce – across the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. This role also supports payroll alignment and integration with our global HRIS and digital landscape.
Project Manager – Workforce Management Implementation (12-month Fixed Term Contract)
This is more than a systems implementation. It’s a strategic people project requiring clear coordination, trusted relationships and alignment across regions. The role sits at the centre of delivery – working between project teams, business leads, and senior leadership to create clarity, momentum and accountability.
Leading a high-impact global rollout with people at its core
The Project Manager will guide the implementation of HumanForce, support payroll integration, and align processes across multiple countries. This involves close collaboration with internal functions and external partners to deliver a smooth, consistent, and compliant rollout.

This includes:

  • Managing project plans, timelines, communications, and risks across regions
  • Engaging collaborators from HR, Finance, IT, Legal and Manufacturing
  • Coordinating with vendors and digital teams to ensure accurate data migration and integration
  • Monitoring progress and ensuring compliance with local workforce regulations
  • Lead the change management element, factoring in communication plans and training materials

What kind of experience will set you up for success?
We’re looking for a confident project leader who brings clarity, structure and strong communication into complex environments. Success in this role relies on effectively engaging diverse collaborators, leading change across regions, and connecting systems with people.

Experience and strengths that will help you thrive:

  • Leading cross-functional projects in a global business
  • Establishing alignment through strong collaborator relationships
  • Working with WFM platforms, payroll systems, or HRIS tools
  • Navigating different employment frameworks and cultural contexts
  • Driving system rollouts or organisational change
  • Understanding data flows between systems and ensuring compliance with collective labour agreements

Why join this project?
This is one of Hempel’s most important people and systems transformations. The solutions delivered will improve workforce planning, operational consistency, and the overall employee experience. The change will be felt immediately in Europe West, while crafting long-term benefits across Australia, New Zealand, and other geographies.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Hybrid or remote working options
  • Pension scheme
  • Access to the Hempel Academy for ongoing learning and development
