Description Summary: The role of the Project Manager is to plan and ensure the effective execution of projects. The project schedule and budget are governing documents that must be followed strictly to ensure that the project is completed as planned. This role coordinates with internal departments such as operations, engineering, quality, procurement, and production, along with external groups such as suppliers and customers. The Project Manager leads project teams to accomplish project goals with regard to schedule, budget, and technical requirements while maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Gathers all project information such as schedules, tasks, and project or production meetings and executes accordingly. · Define project scope and requirements at the initial onset of a project and communicate them to internal team members. · Interface with clients at the beginning of projects to ensure project scope is understood and agreed upon. · Provide clients with project status updates on a regular basis. · Utilize project information to develop plans to maintain project delivery and budget. · Effectively communicate project plans and updates to all interested parties. · Lead teams and work with other departments to accomplish complex project goals regarding schedule, budget, and technical requirements. · Work with the project team (engineering, project managers, shipping and receiving, quality, purchasing, assembly technicians, fabricators, and couriers) to understand and track all work, tasks, and project assignments. · Purchasing materials for assigned projects. · Enter projects into the ERP system and maintain accurate project records. · Maintain project schedules to ensure milestones and critical dates are met throughout the life of the project. · Monitor project progress and request schedule modifications when required. · Assess deviations from schedule, budget, and technical requirements and develop recovery plans and corrective actions. · Manage changes to project scope and submit change order requests to clients for approval; communicate approved changes to internal teams. · Work with document control to gather and manage project documentation. · Ensure that all project documents are reviewed and approved. · Notify all departments of delays or changes related to procurement, fabrication, or outstanding documentation. · Lead weekly project team meetings and provide direction to interdepartmental teams to ensure efficient workflow. · Inform stakeholders and senior management of project status, including financial performance, schedule progress, and client feedback. · Report weekly to management on project financial status and forecast. · Promote industry best practices, techniques, and standards to ensure effective project execution. · Close out projects upon completion and coordinate with the Project Engineer on lessons learned. · Conduct occasional outside sales calls to maintain communication with customers. · Other duties as assigned. Requirements Education and Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred. · Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. · PMP certification desirable. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: · Strong understanding of onshore/offshore upstream and midstream oil and gas equipment. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. · Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · Strong leadership and team coordination abilities. · Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them appropriately. · Thorough understanding of or ability to quickly learn the project or product being developed. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), MS Project, and ERP systems. · Highly organized and adaptable to changing priorities. · Able to work efficiently without constant supervision. · Able to follow instructions and work effectively in a professional office and manufacturing environment. Physical Demands: Physical requirements are those typically found in an office setting. Personal Protective Equipment: Safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and other PPE as required by work location.
