Yorktel is currently seeking a Project Manager who will be a member of the Project Management Office within York Telecom Corporation. A qualified Project Manager will apply their industry knowledge, experience, interpersonal skills and administrative techniques to coordinate activities to implement unified visual communications solutions for York Telecom customers.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Project Management in a Customer Service area.
  • PMP or equivalent Project Management Certification desired.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a Technical Field.
  • Bi-lingual capability is a plus.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Domestic travel requiring multi-night stays within and at times outside the local work area.
  • International travel may be required.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license is a requirement and must have a positive driver’s abstract.
  • Current valid U.S. Passport.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  • Limited weekend and/or night work may be required.
  • Must be willing to complete background checks and drug tests as required by current or future contracts.

Responsibilities

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for coordinating all internal and external tasks to deploy assigned service projects.
  • Ability to handle several large to mid-size projects as well as several additional smaller projects simultaneously.
  • Responsible for conducting internal and external kickoff meetings for projects and establishing project schedules.
  • Responsible for scheduling and holding project status meetings, as necessary.
  • Ability to project job cost assessment and tracking related to each effort as well as providing monthly project forecasts.
  • Support and assist the Sales team with project timelines and RFP responses as requested.
  • Interface with vendors as necessary.
  • Act as single point of contact during project execution.

  • Able to lead the Project Team to meet assigned success criteria.
