ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manufacturing Manager to lead a key program within our Advanced Manufacturing team in Edinburgh Parks, SA.
As a leading manufacturer of precision machined components and complex electronics assemblies supporting the defence sector. With a commitment to innovation, quality, and delivery excellence, we are looking for a Project Manufacturing Manager to join our team and drive performance across our manufacturing operations.
As Project Manufacturing Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects within our manufacturing function. You will be responsible for monitoring, tracking, and driving delivery and cost performance, with a strong focus on Earned Value Management (EVM). You will also lead the introduction of new parts and upgrades into production, collaborating across departments to ensure smooth transitions from design to manufacture.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and manage project schedules, cost performance, and risk within manufacturing operations using EVM principles.
  • Drive production performance to meet delivery milestones and budget targets.
  • Lead the introduction of new parts and product upgrades into manufacturing, ensuring readiness across materials, tooling, and resources.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program teams to resolve issues and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Provide clear, timely communication to internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring alignment.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise production efficiency and quality.
