The VCAA is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students birth to 18 years.

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Assessment and Reporting Division in the Student Records and Results Unit for two fixed term full-time positions.

  • Salary: $79,122 - $96,073 (Plus Superannuation of 11.5%)
  • Fixed term till 31 December 2025
  • Usual hours of work: Full time (flexible work conditions may be available)
  • Usual work location: East Melbourne

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of Victorian senior secondary programs will be beneficial.

Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE

An opportunity exists for two Project Officers to join a collaborative team responsible for the maintenance and recording of senior secondary student records and results.
These Project Officer roles will be focused on the provision of authoritative, accurate and timely advice on student senior secondary enrolment and results issues, including complex senior secondary program transition arrangements.

Working across the Student Records and Results teams, the role includes but is not limited to:

  • Planning and delivering accurate and timely records for senior secondary enrolments and results.
  • Being an active part of user acceptance testing for internal and external systems and programs.
  • Coordinating the set up and audit of senior secondary program structures.
  • Management of shared mailboxes.
  • Support the provision of helpdesk support to external and internal users of VCAA computer systems including Victorian Assessment Software System (VASS).
  • Assessing requests from stakeholders in relation to VET Certificates, student enrolments and result changes.
  • Supporting the assessment of a range of provider delivery models.
  • Supporting the Higher Education Studies (HES) and VCE partnerships project.
  • Maintaining senior secondary provider data.

Responsibilities of the Assessment and Reporting Division include:

  • The delivery and reporting of all VCE examinations, the National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) tests, On Demand testing, the General Achievement Test (GAT), and Education State Target Assessments
  • The marking of all VCE examinations, including written, performance and Languages oral examinations
  • Managing the quality assurance and statistical moderation programs for VCE school-based assessments
  • Collecting, maintaining, and processing student enrolment data and assessment results for VCE and VPC
  • Issuing VCE and VPC certification to students under delegation from the VRQA
  • Providing technical and professional support for assessment and reporting matters to the VCAA Board, internal and external stakeholders
