  This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact in the Northern Rivers region by supporting communities to prepare for and adapt to natural hazards under climate change.  Full time, temporary role up to August 2026 within the Northern Rivers Disaster Adaptation Team.  Lismore based role with flexible work options and hybrid arrangements available.   Clerk Grade 7/8 Salary ($113,574 - $125,720 per annum) plus superannuation and annual leave loading.      Join a team committed to building resilience and supporting adaptation to natural hazards in the Northern Rivers. Help shape evidence-based programs that prepare communities for the impacts of climate change.      About the Role  In this role, you will contribute to policy and program initiatives that strengthen resilience and adaptation strategies. Key responsibilities include:  Develop and deliver climate change adaptation programs aligned with government priorities and stakeholder needs.  Create strategies to meet stakeholder needs and promote program awareness and outcomes.  Conduct research and analysis to support proposals, project plans, and provide sound advice.  Support program governance, reporting, and risk management to ensure timely delivery.  Deliver resilience and adaptation projects, managing dependencies, risks, and opportunities effectively.  Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across government, community, and business sectors.  Prepare reports, submissions, briefing notes, and ministerial correspondence in line with protocols.     For more information about the role, please click here. To succeed, you will have:  Knowledge of climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and resilience programs within government and community contexts would be highly desirable.  Proven ability to manage projects, prioritise competing demands, and deliver outcomes on time and within budget.  Strong analytical and research skills to inform evidence-based decision-making.  Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.  Ability to work collaboratively and maintain productive relationships across diverse groups.    If you are passionate about resilience and want to contribute to meaningful change, we’d love to hear from you.      About the Agency  The NSW Reconstruction Authority (RA) is an executive agency of the Premier’s Department. The RA will improve how NSW plans for disasters and help communities to recover from them faster.   To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the RA will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, NGOs, businesses, and government.
