Organizational Context and Scope Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) and direct supervision of the Head of Sub-Office (HoSO) in Marshall Islands, and in close coordination with the Regional Thematic Specialist (RTS) at the Regional Office (RO) and relevant Divisions/Departments/Units at Headquarters (HQ), the Project Officer – Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) will be responsible and accountable for supporting and coordinating the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting activities and strengthening the Republic of Marshall Islands’ (RMI) Emergency Response and Public Safety Capacity.
Responsibilities
The Project Officer is responsible for coordinating the development, implementation, and monitoring of activities to strengthen the Republic of Marshall Islands' emergency response and public safety capacity. This includes liaising with governmental authorities and international institutions to support Disaster Risk Reduction efforts.
