Description

The Schaeffler Hub for Advanced Research at Nanyang Technological University (SHARE at NTU) is a joint innovation lab based within the university campus. SHARE now moves into phase III, with its focus on joint research and development of human–robot interaction, dual arm robot manipulation, advanced AMR and healthcare robotic aids, to become one of the innovation hubs within Schaeffler. The team is now ready to be working towards robotics for industry and healthcare applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigation and selection of suitable sensor/actuator components
  • Develop sensor/actuator drivers and conduct testing
  • Develop the embedded system firmware and the software architecture
  • Design and implement the wiring configuration

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics or related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role or adequate technical hands-on experience in building mechatronic systems
  • Familiarity with C/C++ programming on microcontroller platform
  • Bonus: Experience in ROS/ROS2
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good teamwork, empathy, and ability to work collaboratively
  • Interpersonal skills (e.g. Ability to work independently / develop solutions under strict timelines, meticulous and eye for details / excellent organizational / time management skills)
