    About the Agency
    The NSW Reconstruction Authority is a statutory corporation that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.
    To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The NSW Reconstruction Authority is seeking a Project Officer to work in the Ministerial and Executive Services team. This is a fast-paced role at the heart of NSW Government administration, with exposure to Ministerial, Parliamentary, Cabinet, intergovernmental and other government processes.
The Reconstruction Authority’s Ministerial and Executive Services team facilitates meaningful outcomes for the community, supporting teams working across the areas of disaster preparedness, adaptation, mitigation, recovery and reconstruction.

In this role, you will coordinate high quality Ministerial, Parliamentary, Cabinet and other products by:

  • Undertaking timely and effective analysis, drafting, and review of correspondence, briefing notes, submissions, advice and other relevant materials.
  • Working collaboratively and with integrity within the MinEx team and across the RA; as well as other Government agencies, Ministerial offices and beyond.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A strong understanding of government, Cabinet and/or Parliamentary processes.
  • Critical problem solving and analytical thinking skills to assess matters, using your initiative to develop effective resolution strategies.
  • Zealous attention to detail, the ability to prioritise matters effectively, and a keen sense of situational awareness.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills alongside demonstrated experience in maintaining effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • An advanced level of written English and demonstrated training or relevant experience in Plain English principles
