About the Role The Project Officer provides a comprehensive range of project coordination and administrative support activities to enable the effective planning, delivery and monitoring of projects across the Office of the NSW Chief Scientist & Engineer (OCSE). The role supports the successful implementation of initiatives that advance public and private sector research, innovation, and scientific and engineering excellence in NSW. This includes coordinating project schedules and milestones, preparing documentation and reports, supporting stakeholder engagement, and assisting with governance, procurement and financial processes. Through these activities, the Project Officer contributes to the smooth operation of OCSE programs and helps ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and in line with organisational priorities. You will join the Office of the NSW Chief Scientist & Engineer within the Programs and Outreach team. Further details on OCSE can be found here. We're Looking For Project Coordination and Reporting: Provides project and administrative support across multiple OCSE projects by monitoring project plans, milestones and deliverables to ensure time, cost and quality outcomes align with approved plans. Project Implementation Support: Assists Program teams to complete tasks and implement project plans by collating documentation and records, ensuring compliance with agreed project methodologies and achievement of intended outcomes. Stakeholder and Correspondence Management: Manages official correspondence with industry, government and research organisations to support effective communication and the achievement of Program objectives. Research, Analysis and Communication: Undertakes basic research and analysis, contributes to project briefs to support informed decision-making, and communicates project status updates and implementation issues to relevant stakeholders.
