YOUR ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity within our Workplace Projects working in the Operational Technology unit within the Specialist Operations branch.
The role is a part of a supportive and collaborative team, driven to support the delivery of program outcomes. The program of work is striving to improve the work environment for all staff and this role plays a vital part in achieving this goal.
The team encourages working flexibly. Regular metro travel relating to the role will be required. Some regional travel will be also required.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Project Officer performs project management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects in line with established objectives.

As part of the Specialist Operation branch, you will report to the Senior Program Manager, you are responsible for:

  • Provide onsite/offsite technical technology support and training to end users through the project life cycle.
  • Create and update technology guides and documentation, including user guides, standard operating procedures, and technical technology requirement documentation etc.
  • Overseeing projects from end-to-end, including project planning, procurement, vendor and contract management, delivery and transition to BAU in specific to Workplace Technology and programs
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Handling project administration, including cost control, schedule control and change order administration
  • Engaging with stakeholders to educate and communicate information utilising different tools and communication systems.
  • Participating in regular forums with relevant project stakeholders to address issues, review status and manage key actions
  • Collaborating and negotiating with various stakeholders and external partners to coordinate favourable outcomes for the program
  • A key challenge of this role is meeting deadlines and milestones to the required standards while simultaneously delivering multiple projects
  • Experience in implementing and delivering Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTRs) and other Audio-Visual solutions, network infrastructure, end-user device deployment and other workplace technology applications for office fit-out projects.
