This is a valuable opportunity to apply your expertise in a values driven organisation focused on delivering safe, secure housing and improving outcomes for individuals and communities across New South Wales. You will be part of a team that places people, both staff and clients, at the centre of its work, and where your contribution to workplace safety and wellbeing will be genuinely valued.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As part of the Office of Executive Director, Business Support Team for Housing Services you’ll play a key role in providing expert support in Work Health and Safety (WHS), risk, and injury management.

Your role will focus on:

  • Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of the DCJ Safety Management System (SMS), promoting consistent use of tools and procedures.
  • Assisting with complex or sensitive workers’ compensation claims, helping managers meet their return-to-work and injury management obligations.
  • Promoting a proactive safety culture by maintaining divisional risk profiles, conducting risk assessments, and supporting control measures.
  • Contributing to WHS audits, inspections, and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and shared.
  • Monitoring WHS and injury management data, identifying trends, and preparing reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Delivering or supporting WHS training and developing resources to build workforce capability and encourage positive safety behaviours.
  • Participate in health and safety committees and establish collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs), and external partners such as SafeWork NSW and iCare to support effective WHS and injury management outcomes.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN THIS ROLE. WE LOOK FORWARD TO RECEIVING YOUR APPLICATION.
