Institute for Pedagogical Innovation, Research & Excellence (InsPIRE) is a collaborative entity within the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) with a mission to unite various entities and foster a culture of excellence in teaching and learning.
InsPIRE is seeking a Project Officer to work with NTU faculty staff in the development of simulations, 3D visualization (such as AR / VR / XR) for role plays, gamification for learning and exploring the incorporating the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for all subject areas. This is to augment to NTU’s efforts in advancing the use of education technology in teaching and learning. The incumbent will also work with faculty staff to promote the use of EdTech tools, to develop tools / content, conduct education research studies, publications and other administration related to academic matters.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor degree in STEM from a recognized university
• Knowledge of education technology, software such as Matlab and good knowledge of gaming tools (such as Unity).
• Experience with development of AI tools
• Strong planning and organization skills
• Excellent team player with demonstrated ability to work independently
• Demonstrate initiative, adaptability and creative problem-solving
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills

• Conduct surveillance of education technology, identifying those that can be used for education purposes for all disciplines
• Work together with faculty and lead in the development of 3D visualization and AI that can be incorporated pedagogically into NTU courses.
• Development of AR / VR / XR / 360 video (with use of AI) content for the purposes of teaching and learning
• Conduct simple studies on the effectiveness of technology on learning
• Inform and work with faculty staff to promote the use of education technology
• Develop prototype applications of AI tools, AR / VR / XR, 3D visualization content in courses that can be easily adapted for courses
• Develop the workflow for the incorporation of new education technology into courses
• Provide support in communications, publications and administration related to academic matters, including working with other departments such as the cybersecurity team, legal office in this area
