The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at NTU Singapore hosts research and education activities in two divisions: Division of Mathematical Sciences (MAS) and Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP). MAS covers diverse topics ranging from pure mathematics to the applications of mathematics in cryptography, computing, business, and finance. PAP covers many areas of fundamental and applied physics, including quantum information, condensed matter physics, biophysics, and photonics. Over the years, SPMS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.
Join the laboratory of David Wilkowski at SPMS. We are seeking a Project Officer to contribute to a project focused on developing quantum processors at Nanyang Technological University. The incumbent will manage the administrative part of the project in close collaboration with the Principal Investigator, the other group members, and the various administrative offices of the university.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or another related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in research, academic, or administrative settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience in SAP and Ariba is considered an added advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Execute finance, budgeting, manpower planning, grant administration, and policy interpretation to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Oversee procurement activities, including raising Purchase Requests (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and Good Receipts (GR) to streamline purchasing operations.
  • Plan and execute events such as industry and academic seminars, colloquia, and conferences, ensuring successful delivery and engagement.
  • Manage logistics for local and international meetings and events, including travel arrangements, scheduling, and fulfilling event-specific requirements.
  • Compile, analyze, and prepare reports and claims with detailed analytical insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Maintain and update the website, ensuring it reflects current and accurate information while adhering to organizational standards.
