Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Full-time, fixed-term opportunity until 31/03/2026.
    The RANZCP has received Australian Government funding to deliver the Rural Readiness Project to enhance professional, clinical, and social orientation required to practice in rural regional and remote areas of Australia for psychiatry trainees. With a focus on establishing and expanding skills imperative for trainees to engage in safe rural practice, this unique project will provide the opportunity for trainees to network with fellow trainees early in their career to build connections to peers, regions and communities that will sustain their Fellowship journey.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Engage with trainees, Fellows, and stakeholders to coordinate the design, development, and delivery of online eLearning Professional Orientation to Rural Psychiatry Services modules.
  • Facilitate the design and timely delivery of seven (7) national face-to-face Rural Readiness Workshops, providing clinical and social orientation for psychiatrists working in rural, regional, and remote areas.
  • Oversee project coordination and administration, including research, data analysis, development, implementation, and evaluation of Rural Readiness initiatives.
