Description

Established in 1992, the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) is the only full-fledged communication school in Singapore and is a world-class centre of excellence with an international faculty, state-of-the-art research laboratories, and global institutional affiliations.
The Korea Studies Lab (to be established), Nanyang Technological University, is looking for a Project Officer to join our research team and support the daily operations of our projects and the Principal Investigator (Lab Director). If you are passionate about cultural and empirical inquiries on contemporary Korea and research management, we welcome you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise and coordinate research activities, meetings, overseas exchanges, and business trips (including local and international travel arrangements)
  • Organise and document meeting minutes, prepare meeting materials, and follow up on action plans
  • Support grant preparations and website updates
  • Manage laboratory operations, budget, and expenses, including procurement, preparation of necessary reports, oversight of travel arrangements, itineraries, and expense claims
  • Provide support in research management and preparation of project reports
  • Provide administrative support to PI, including personnel management
  • Maintain physical and digital files with attention to data security and confidentiality

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Humanities or Engineering is required
  • Prior experience in research management, grant writing, and administrative support is highly desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. The Project Officer will also need to communicate and collaborate frequently with the Korea Foundation and other Korean institutions, so fluency in both spoken and written Korean language may be helpful for the incumbent in his/her course of work (but not compulsory)
  • Previous work experience in non-profit organisations is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications is required, along with a strong willingness to learn and adapt to the university administrative systems and tools
  • Strong organisational skills and time-management skills with exceptional attention to details
  • Ability to work independently, while contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment

We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
