About the Project This exciting new research project will develop and evaluate a general practice based digital clinical decision support tool that reminds doctors to talk to patients about sexually transmissible infections (STIs) or HIV and links them to the best information. This project is funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council and is a partnership between the University of Melbourne and key organisations for sexual health policy and care in Australia. Your next career opportunity As a Project Officer, working under the supervision of senior researchers, you'll be at the forefront of implementing Australia's first multifaceted digital clinical decision support tool for STI/HIV care. You will manage day-to-day operations, liaise with key stakeholders, and support research activities that will significantly impact decision-making in general practice. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to vital implementation research within the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health. Your responsibilities will include Managing Project Operations: Oversee project protocols, establish timelines, and coordinate communications with stakeholders. Conducting Research and Evaluation: Review evidence, develop clinical care pathways, conduct workshops, and assist in data collection and analysis. Supporting development of the tool and usability Testing: Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the tools alignment with clinical pathways and findings. Contributing to Academic Outputs: Prepare reports, analyse data, and contribute to conference papers and publications. You may be a great fit if You possess a Master of Public Health or PhD, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrate expertise in managing research projects, particularly in Australian general practice settings. You may also Have experience in managing implementation research projects and stakeholder engagement. Possess excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Be familiar with research methodologies and data analysis techniques. Have research experience or understanding of sexual health Demonstrate strong written skills and ethical scholarship.
