The successful applicant will possess and have experience in:

  • Produce communications, including briefing papers, presentations, reports and correspondence, ensuring alignment with the university’s style and tone.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the university, supporting effective collaboration and communication to support engagement and delivery of Provost Office projects and strategies.
  • Proactively engage with data owners and internal stakeholders to synthesise and analyse data and feedback from across the university to produce professional and succinct reports, briefings, and materials for Boards and Committees and other operational and strategic purposes.
  • Provide senior administrative support to Directors in the Provost Office in line with university procedures and policies, including diary coordination, travel arrangements, financial transactions, and other administrative processes as required.
  • Support the design and implementation of internal initiatives and manage related workflows, processes, and reporting as well as participate in planning processes as required.
  • Develop and monitor the delivery of small projects, initiatives, and ad hoc programs, ensuring timely execution against project plans and strategic and operational goals.
  • Assess and manage project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements to processes, systems, and operations within the Provost Office to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Project Officer plays a key role in the Provost Office, providing high-level support to the Executive Director, Operations, and the wider team. This flexible role helps drive operational, strategic, and project-related priorities.
With a proactive mindset, the Project Officer manages a mix of admin, project coordination, and communications tasks, working closely with staff across the Provost Office and senior stakeholders across the university.
The role reports to the Executive Director, Operations, and doesn’t have any direct reports.
