The Accelerated Performance and Delivery (APAD) team governs the project delivery process within the Health Insurance arm of BUPA Australia. The projects range from tactical customer experience improvements, to complex technology implementation programs.
The Project Pipeline Manager role plays an important role in managing new and inflight projects - playing a core role within the front end loading of projects, and measuring our delivery against quarterly commitments. This will involve working arm and arm with both the “business’ and “Tech” stakeholders to ensure priorities are clear, to minimise project ‘switching’ and break-in work, to help solve emergent resourcing issues and to assist early stage projects develop their ideas.
WHAT DO I NEED?
To excel in this role, you will be able to demonstrate clear experience in a technology/digital environment, allowing you to effectively communicate and collaborate with these stakeholders. Significant exposure to project management is essential, as you will be required to switch seamlessly between detailed analysis and project management disciplines.
Your analytical skills should be highly developed, with a strong preference for those who have experience in Portfolio Management analysis, particularly with methodologies such as DORA metrics. You will engage with a broad range of stakeholders, from business and technology roles up to the General Manager level, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration across the board.
Advanced experience with business analysis tools, including Power BI, and dashboarding environments, is crucial. Additionally, you should have a preference for agile and modern delivery techniques, such as Scrum, Agile, and SAFe, and possess experience operating within Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira. An approachable attitude is key, as you will need to resolve conflicting priorities and emergencies in a thoughtful and considerate manner. Lastly, a keen eye for continuous improvement is essential, always looking for ways to make internal stakeholders’ lives easier and reduce effort.
