About the role The role is responsible for developing and maintaining new and current project schedules, ensuring that stakeholders follow and execute the plan to deliver the project on schedule and within budget. Produces accurate project reports highlighting current project status, risks, and opportunities. Key objectives & responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensure Project contract specification, project commencement and delivery date are the basis of the schedule. Schedule production activities in line with the vessel construction sequence. Scheduled activities are to be programmed with consideration of Design deliverables. Ensure all WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) activities are included. Schedule activity sequencing to achieve the most efficient outcome. Determine resource levels based on the construction sequence and construction schedule. Produce Reports on a require basis tracking the vessel progress. Coordinate with relevant HSO staff any required schedule integration. Weekly Schedule checks Completed across the Elements. The build sequence (shed fit plan) to be developed in line with the project schedule. Build sequence to have all constraints considered i.e., crane accessibility & and best build practises. Understanding of requirements for the layout of the build sequence in the production halls. Monitor and update build sequence weekly. Understanding and able to deliver all required content of schedule package. Required Skills / Experience / Attributes: Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Has a minimum of 8-10 years experience in Shipbuilding or Construction roles. Has a minimum of 3-5 years experience of working as a planner/scheduler. Proven skills in scheduling, resource management, planning etc. Proficient in computer skills including MS Applications, Primavera P6, planning etc. Effective communication skills written and spoken.
