Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and driven Project Planner to support the successful delivery of complex construction projects across the UK. This is an office-based role with regular site visits, reporting to the Construction Director.
As Project Planner, you will develop, manage, and monitor detailed project programmes to ensure alignment with client requirements, budgets, and timelines. You will work closely with project teams to provide insights, identify risks, and ensure timely delivery of works across a wide range of projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop detailed project plans and programmes using planning software (MS Project)
  • Monitor project timelines, resources, and progress; update and revise schedules as needed
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to gather data and ensure accurate forecasting
  • Prepare progress reports and dashboards for internal and client review
  • Identify risks and delays, proposing effective mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and BBP planning procedures
  • Provide planning input at project meetings and reviews
  • Support tender planning and bid submissions as required
  • Assist in post-project reviews and lessons learned exercises
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning tools and processes
  • Provide mentoring or training to junior planners or project staff where appropriate
