Description
As a Project Planner for the EMEA region, you will be part of the Project Execution team, which manages a portfolio of projects and coordinates multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver customer projects successfully. Your role will be to structure, ensure consistency, and track progress in planning schedules for a portfolio of projects during execution. You will assist Project Managers in developing detailed plans for large projects spanning one to several years. This includes defining the appropriate level of activity detail, logic sequencing, durations, and interfaces based on your analysis and knowledge of project execution phases. Additionally, you will advocate planning and scheduling best practices to improve overall project performance. Support Project Managers during project execution Develop standard and detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project or equivalent tools. Create and maintain a single integrated project schedule by consolidating inputs from engineering, SCM, site teams, plants, and third parties. Ensure proper linkages in schedules to reflect all interdependencies. Obtain functional owners' sign-off on commitments and hold them accountable for dates. Maintain schedules throughout the project lifecycle by driving regular reviews with the project team. Provide critical path analysis, forecast schedule risks and opportunities. Deliver look-ahead plans, backlog reports, and late reporting with prioritization to highlight risks and drive project priorities. Manage baseline schedules and track actual vs baseline performance, documenting delays. Ensure schedules align with project charters and financial forecasts. Develop template schedules for projects. Support back-office teams in designing tools and processes for project planning activities. Minimum BSc degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. Formal Project Management certification highly desired (e.g., PMP). Formal Primavera or Microsoft Project certification required. 2+ years of experience in planning activities within EPC/OEM environments for energy equipment. 2-5+ years of experience supporting industrial projects. Understanding of involved disciplines such as electrical installation, manufacturing planning, and construction site operations. Strong understanding of complex organizations (OEM) and large-scale projects. Proficient in Microsoft Project, Planner, and Microsoft Excel. Awareness of Contract Management principles. Knowledge of Project Finance. Exceptional influencing and relationship-building skills with soft leadership capabilities. Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate complex messages clearly and concisely. Demonstrates ownership and accountability in all tasks.
