PROJECT PLANNER – SURTASS PROGRAM

Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Planner to support the Surveillance Towed Array Sensor System (SURTASS) program. This role involves the development and maintenance of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for Operations and Maintenance Technician crews, along with managing program-level technical documentation. The Project Planner will work closely with program leadership to ensure efficient planning and execution of mission-critical operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience, training, and/or certification may substitute degree requirement.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Navy life-cycle sustainment programs
  • Strong background in collaborative work environments involving dynamic, complex operational tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Responsibilities
  • Develop, analyze, and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project for complex naval operations and maintenance activities
  • Integrate multiple project files into a comprehensive Integrated Master Schedule
  • Coordinate and align project requirements to support SURTASS operational goals
  • Develop briefs, procedures, and process documents supporting program objectives
  • Exercise sound judgment within established practices and policies
  • Maintain and update the program’s risk registry, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Track and resolve action items via the action item tracker
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to communicate progress and requirements
  • Support task planning efforts and deliver presentations as needed
  • Prepare and submit Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and maintain the program dashboard
