QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A post-secondary degree in Business, Economics, or Engineering combined with a minimum of 5 years in the oil and gas industry with a preferred focus in crude supply, trading, and logistics.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate learning agility by rapidly adapting to changing business environments, embracing feedback, and continuously evolving leadership approaches to drive team and organizational success.
  • Relevant experience with managing crude movements on pipelines and established industry relationships are desirable but not required.
  • Candidates should have a good understanding of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (WCSB) crude oil marketing business, be highly analytical, possess strong business and financial acumen, and have a demonstrated ability to establish strong internal and external relationships.
  • Communication, decision making, and multi-tasking skills are a must.
  • This position requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, analytical capabilities and independent problem solving; and
  • Experience with Right Angle (Commercial trading & logistics system) will be highly beneficial.
    The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities
  • Real-time position management: track, maintain, optimize, and report our daily crude balance across all systems / facilities.
  • Support the commercial team by ensuring the daily operational execution of commercial activities. This includes tracking trades, managing terminal activities, and handling transportation logistics (pipelines & trucks).
  • Represent Marketing’s interests while collaboratively working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve various daily operational / scheduling issues to ensure the movement of applicable commodities.
  • Manage all the logistics / reporting requirements associated with crude oil movements as adopted by the Canadian crude oil industry.
  • Represent Pembina’s interest at various industry meetings and attend events as required from time to time.
  • Build and maintain a network of relevant industry relationships to position Pembina to advance market opportunities and achieve existing business plans.
  • Support and identify opportunities for Pembina’s pipeline, storage, and terminating assets.
  • Recommend necessary action, projects or process changes required to mitigate any issues, improve processes, or add value to the organization.
  • Manage various business reporting requirements.
  • Provide support to ensure the adequate delivery required services to the commercial trading team. This includes assisting with accounting, analytics, pricing, risk / credit reporting, and systems development;
