Stanley Consultants is seeking a Planner to work out of our RAF Alconbury Program Integration Office. While on site with our client, you will be responsible for providing planning, programming and project development support services, and deliverables in support of the 423rd Civil Engineer Squadron (423 CES) at RAF Alconbury and RAF Molesworth.
Work will be performed mostly at RAF Alconbury. The position is imbedded in the 423 CES and serves as an integral member of the organization in a client-side partner capacity. The services and deliverables provided shall be high quality, delivered in a timely fashion and shall include professional services; studies, analyses, and evaluations; and engineering and technical expertise.
The work will primarily involve projects related to civil systems related to facilities, infrastructure, and utility systems, i.e., pavements, water/wastewater distribution systems, roofing, and facility operations and maintenance (O&M).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong focus on Health and Safety
  • Experience in requirements development and site/space planning
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Upholding professional and ethical behaviour in everything you do
  • Strong IT and organisational abilities
  • Full UK/US driving licence

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with U.S. Visiting Forces
  • Engineering/Construction related degree
  • Ideally applicants will hold, or be committed to achieving professional qualifications and will be members of a recognised professional institution
Responsibilities

The position will be responsive and responsible to the on-site Stanley Consultants Project Manager on a day-to-day basis. Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Facility Condition Assessments
  • Facility Utilization Surveys
  • Facility and Infrastructure Capacity Assessments
  • Project Programming and Development of DD Form 1391 or Air Force Form 332 Work Order
  • Development of Sustainment, Repair, and Construction Statements of Work
  • Cost Estimating and Quantity Estimating
  • Preparation of Basis of Design and Calculations
  • Development of Future Base-Level Plans
  • Development of Commercial/Contracting Tender Packages
  • Construction Surveillance and Quality Assurance
  • Responses to Construction Contractor Requests for Information
