ESSENTIAL SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant Tertiary degree, specialised training, or equivalent in Technology, Business, Project Management or related field
  • Qualification in project management or equivalent
  • Experience in project/program/portfolio management offices, encompassing the full life cycle of planning, execution, implementation and BAU handover
  • Strong understanding of technology delivery lifecycle, and project/program management processes and principles
  • Ability to communicate and present complex issues with precision and clarity
  • Ability to prioritise multiple projects/deadlines

Responsibilities:

Facilitating changes and improvements to how people work, create and communicate within the mining sector. Will facilitate and support the successful and timely delivery of Technology projects and programs from pre-feasibility through to handover, to support.

Key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide governance for the Projects team to ensure Projects are tracking deadlines, deliverables, resources, and timelines throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Govern the demand and project management processes for Technology Projects.
  • Assess and monitor project and program issues, risks, dependencies and assist in managing resource allocation/utilisation.
  • Manage and maintain consistent portfolio management processes and practices that are simple, effective and transparent across all of Technology and organisation.
  • Collaborate with the Technology sub-functions to ensure an integrated portfolio view of all the work in Technology Projects is represented in a transparent and easy to understand form.
  • Align incoming demand to delivery teams, engage impacted stakeholders, estimate work effort, and assess portfolio implications.
  • Liaising with the Technology Advisory Team with regards to pipeline, reporting and governance
  • Liaising with the Technology Leadership Team and other functions / operations as necessary to communicate portfolio and budget performance of Technology Projects
