Description
The Project Support Processor position for Southern Company Gas provides back-office support for capital construction projects. These duties include creating new business service work requests, processing service cards, updating meter information in ARM, and researching and updating premises based upon the current county GIS mapping system information. This position serves as a liaison between our pipeline contractors and Southern Company Gas to complete capital construction pipeline work. The right candidate must be a self-starter, excellent communicator, and critical thinker. This position is an exciting opportunity for people who enjoy the challenges of supporting natural gas construction. This position follows a hybrid work schedule. Employees are required to be in the office four (4) days per week, one (1) remote. Please note, this position is posted as a job family and may be filled at either Process, I, or Sr, Processor level. People who demonstrate intermediate to advanced knowledge of Southern Company Gas GCMA, CC&B, ARM, contractor portal, and Oracle may be eligible for the advanced grade. As a Processor in the Project Support group, a typical day might include: Creating New Business work requests in ARM (Asset Resource Management) per approved BCA (Business Case Authorization) and ensuring building points are created and work requests are advanced from initiation to schedule status Creating meter set orders and reconciling meter inventories Partnering with Pipeline Contractors to reconcile meter inventories Updating premise statuses via GCMA (Georgia Customer Management Application) and CC&B (Customer Care and Billing) Processing inbound credit card payments for CIACs Printing, updating, and distributing service cards to service centers. This process includes researching premise information via County GIS mapping, navigating the Southern Company Gas work management system (ARM) to update service cards, and pulling engineering drawings needed per the operations procedure manual (OPM) Identifying, analyzing, and correcting meter express interface exceptions for BCAs, MOIS and MOPS, and CC&B errors using Contractor Portal, ARM, CC&B, meter history, and meter management applications Working the CIM (consumption at an inactive meter) report each day to ensure no loss of revenue for the company Creating, amending, or canceling new business work requests Creating Spot Contracts. (Set up and maintain all projects in ARM system, which includes understanding contract terms and conditions and timely creation of spot contracts with correct unit quantities and unit bid prices) Second validating spot contracts in ARM to ensure correct quantities and pricing Creating Non-New Business MAIN Work Requests Creating Non-New Business Service Work Requests Updating premise information as requested via GIS Notification due to pipeline contractor errors (work request errors, missing meter information, AC code changes, service card errors, crossed meters, etc.) Working various reports to ensure meter information is captured (pending meter report, cut and cap report, meter removal report) Entering Help Desk Tickets Providing training to all new personnel in the processor role Providing analysis and support for resolution of process and system related issues Identifying process improvements and serving as point of contact to update process documents related to processor tasks Serving as a SME to support system upgrades for CC&B, Looker Application, ARM, Contractor Portal.
