Job Description:

Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be part of the Supply Chain Planning Team. As a Senior Supply Chain Planner you will assist and sometimes lead in the planning functions at the Neckarbischofsheim site in Germany. You will take responsibility for production and material planning of multiple product lines. You will participate for the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning Process (SIOP), interfacing with BU Marketing and Sales in order to create and maintain sales forecasts, ensuring alignment with BU and corporate targets. You will serve as an advocate for total customer satisfaction by focusing on the customer’s date requirement and communicating that requirement to the operations team. You will assist in the development and execution of the Supply Chain Planning processes Neckarbischofsheim and more widely in the Systems Operations Group.

Procurement Specialist (m/f/x)


with the vision to match our ambition!Skeleton is scaling production of its ultracapacitors and SuperBattery cells in Leipzig. Your goal as Procurement Specialist is to ensure that the supply chain needs of Skeleton Technologies are met in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Procurement Specialist reviews costs, develop relationships with vendors and suppliers and offers suggestions for where and how much material and supplies to buy.


Your tasks in the net zero journey:


  • Planning, ordering, and coordinating raw materials as well as other parts and resources that are needed to manufacture products according to commodity split according to all entities from Skeleton Technologies Group.
  • Responsible for material availability to meet production schedule.
  • Maintenance of Master Data for assigned parts. • Determining the required materials and generating purchase orders.
  • Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products.
  • Balance inventory levels to minimize excess and obsolescence and maintain proper levels of inventory.
  • Manage inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
  • Distribute forecasts to supply base.
  • Coordinate with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments, etc.
  • Enable continuous improvements.



Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience in automation, engineering, computer science or similar.
  • Understanding of direct material procurement — components, production parts, raw materials
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar) for demand planning and purchase order management
  • Knowledge of supplier qualification and onboarding processes
  • Familiarity with VMI, blanket orders, and consignment stock models
  • Understanding of technical drawings and component specifications (ability to read and interpret)
  • Basic understanding of supply chain risk management — single source, lead times, buffer stock logic
  • Supplier relationship management — performance tracking, escalation handling
  • Cross-functional collaboration — working closely with engineering, production, and quality
  • Data analysis — Excel or similar for spend analysis, price benchmarking, demand forecasting
  • Strong communication - written and verbal, including with international suppliers

Your Tasks


Acting as main responsible for all procurement related activities within a core project team

Initiation, coordination, implementation and monitoring of all procurement activities of equipment and subsystems for a specific satellite project

Selection of suitable suppliers and subcontractors in direct negotiation, restricted or open competition

Leading of a team of subcontract managers working for your satellite project including establishment of tender documentation (RFPs, ITTs, draft contracts etc.), organization and management of Tender Evaluation Boards with and without participation of the customer, support in the preparation of ATPs, LOLs, Preliminary Order Letters etc., negotiation of Change Requests and taking over Contract Change Management activities (CR and CCN process), supervision of contract compliance (concerning quality, time and costs)

Regular visits of the suppliers in Europe and worldwide, participation in project reviews and progress meetings as required

Reporting to the project manager (monthly progress and status reports etc.) and to the line manager (Head of Project Procurement Management)
