Description
Stakeholder Management & Communication: Serve as a point of contact for a diverse set of global stakeholders, including business owners, IT leaders, and end-users. Build and maintain strong relationships to secure buy-in and cooperation for data collection efforts, especially amidst organizational changes. Facilitate workshops and meetings to align stakeholders on rationalization goals, criteria, and outcomes. Data Collection & Analysis: Manage and drive the collection of critical application data, including ownership, technical attributes, business value, cost, and usage. Act as a business analyst to interpret and validate data, ensuring its accuracy and completeness for rationalization decisions. Perform a thorough analysis of collected data to identify potential rationalization opportunities (e.g., duplicate functionality, end-of-life applications, high-cost/low-value systems). Rationalization Planning & Execution: Synthesize analysis findings into clear, concise rationalization recommendations. Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize which applications should be retired, consolidated, or modernized. Develop and manage project plans for the selected rationalization initiatives, tracking progress and reporting on key milestones. Program Support: Contribute to the overall App Rat program by sharing insights, best practices, and lessons learned. Identify and mitigate risks related to stakeholder resistance, data gaps, or technical dependencies. Proven experience as a Project Manager and/or Business Analyst in a large-scale, complex corporate environment. Demonstrable experience with application rationalization, IT portfolio management, or a similar IT transformation program. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of successfully navigating politically sensitive situations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and present complex data to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience in global, cross-functional projects and an understanding of the challenges associated with decentralized organizational structures. Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, Microsoft Project). Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment. Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) or Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP). Knowledge of IT infrastructure, enterprise architecture, and software development lifecycles. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to communicate findings.
